About Swarup Kale
Born into a rich legacy of Kirtan and Bhajan, Swarup Aniruddha Kale is a distinguished musician and educator. His journey began at the tender age of 5 when he embarked on his musical education under the guidance of Pandit Shree Vithhal Jagtap in his hometown of Latur, Maharashtra.
Musical Mastery:
- Hindustani Vocals: Swarup has honed his skills in Hindustani vocals, captivating audiences with his enchanting voice in the Patiala Gharana style. He is known for his command over the khayal genre, which he presents with a masterful control over taanas (fast melodic passages) and gamaks (ornamental oscillations). His singing reflects a deep understanding of the bhava (emotion) of the raga, making his performances both technically impressive and spiritually uplifting. His ability to maintain the purity of notes while exploring complex improvisations is a testament to his rigorous training and dedication to the art form.
- Harmonium and Tanpura: His mastery extends to playing the harmonium and tanpura, enriching the melodic tapestry of his performances.
About Academy
At his Swarup Sangeet Academy in Pimple Saudagar, Pune, Swarup has mentored thousands of aspiring musicians, nurturing their talents and shaping their musical journeys.
- More than 10 years into his mentorship journey, Swarup has guided five students to complete the “Sangeet Visharad” degree and around 25 students are currently getting training from him for “Madymama Purna” level as part of their Sangeet Visharad Journey.
- His guidance draws from luminaries like Pandit Shree Devendra Kulkarni and other dignitaries in the field of music.
